Ben Van Hook is a passionate children’s fine art photographer who specializes in creating beautiful, authentic, and timeless images. With a love for capturing the essence of childhood, Ben’s portraits are full of wonder, innocence, and joy.
With over 4 decades of experience behind the camera, Ben’s award-winning career has spanned magazine work for Sports Illustrated, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Vanity Fair, GQ, Rolling Stone, and Golf Digest. He has photographed a wide variety of athletes, celebrities, and their families for these publications. For the past 20 years Ben has also created major advertising campaigns in motion and still photography for brands that include Johnson & Johnson, AirBnB, Nike, Adidas, MTV, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Mercedes, and The Walt Disney Company.
Over the years Ben has developed a unique and refined style that emphasizes the beauty and natural charm of each child he photographs. His attention to detail, creativity, and patience allows him to create images that are not only visually rich, but truly reflective of each child’s personality and spirit.
Working with kids on agency ad campaigns for over 30 years, Ben understands the importance of building trust and establishing a connection with each child.
